Private Lucca to Pisa leaning Tower by bike
Private Lucca to Pisa leaning Tower by bike
A fun excursion from Lucca to Pisa by bicycle, off the beaten paths, along roads known only by local cyclists. A trip out of town that will allow you to admire both the artistic and natural beauties of this part of Tuscany.
The route is completely flat and mainly along the river, on paths or secondary roads, also suitable for families (over 12 year old ). A stop is planned in San Giuliano Terme after about 20km to refresh in the charming central square where you find a bar, grocery and deli shops. Following an old acqueduct we then reach Pisa, Piazza dei Miracoli and the leaning tower.
After the usual photos holding the Tower, we will go all together to deposit the bikes at the central train station crossing the historical centre. A van will move the bikes back to Lucca. At that point, the guide will give you your return train tickets, and you can decide whether to return with him to Lucca immediately, or spend the rest of the afternoon in Pisa on your own and take a later train back. The included bike is a trekking bike, as the tour is flat and partially off-road. Electric bikes are available upon request, but only for adults and those over 155cm/5'1" tall.
