Self-guided bike tour from Lucca to Pisa
From Lucca to Pisa in the nature following our route on the app!
An itinerary that develops in nature, for long parts on the cycle path of the Serchio river, from the ancient Walls of Lucca to the leaning tower of Pisa.
The route is completely flat and, starting from Lucca, goes all around the Monti Pisani, the mountains between Lucca and Pisa. The background is mixed dirt, cycle, asphalt and is suitable both for e-bikes and trekking bikes. You can choose which bicycle to pay at the moment of the reservation. The route winds along mixed roads, cycle paths, dirt roads, narrow country roads and only the access to San Giuliano Terme take place on normal roads, for approximately 2 km (out of 33 km)
Along the way, precisely, you will find the village of San Giuliano Terme, after about 20km, the only village where to refresh yourself in the charming central square in front of the Spa and where you find bars and shops for foods and drinks. The itinerary ends in Piazza dei Miracoli, in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
After the visit to Piazza dei Miracoli and the usual photos, it is possible to return easily by train by loading the bicycle on the prepared wagons. (about 25 minutes of travel).
The more trained can decide to go back by bike along a more direct route.
